Warm vegetable salad spring menu

Warmer weather had arrives and so has our amazing new menu! Head Chef Stavros has made some seriously exciting new additions at  Boon Wurrung Cafe for you to enjoy either before or after you stroll the magnificent grounds of Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria in Cranbourne.

Fresh new additions include warm vegetable salad with lentils, dutch carrots, chat potatoes, rocket, served on beetroot hummus topped with Yarra Valley goat’s cheese (pictured); potato and pea samosa with minted, coriander yoghurt and side salad; beetroot risotto topped with citrus infused ricotta; and spring lamb served with brussels sprouts, creamy parsnip puree and lamb jus. DELICIOUS!

Love pies? You’ll love this – house made beef and mushroom pie served with crunchy fries and salad. Hold. Us. Back.

For those who prefer the heartiness of our winter menu, fear not. Stavros has retained some old favourites to warm the soul. Our classic favourites such as classic beef burger and much-loved house-made sausage roll with tomato chutney and crunchy fries are still available to satisfy hungry diners.

Health-conscious visitors to the Gardens will love our wildly popular super food salad featuring quinoa, green beans, broccoli, roasted pumpkin, marinated feta and citrus dressing.

And there’s plenty for the kids too, with $10 meals such as penne Napoli with tasty cheese, Southern style chicken with chips and tomato sauce, battered fish and chips with lemon and tomato sauce, and house-made sausage roll with tomato sauce and chips.
