The weather is absolutely perfect to come and see us at Boon Wurrung Cafe and try our delicious new menu!
Our new Head Chef Graham Paul has worked closely with the team to come up with a menu that reflects the tastes of our customers while welcoming some new flavours.
So, whether you’re after a superfood salad, a hearty home-made sausage roll or pie or just a coffee and cake from our selection of sweet treats, we’ve got something for everyone!
Mouthwatering new additions to the menu include Japanese vegetarian pancake topped with Japanese mayo and BBQ sauce; salmon fillet with teriyaki sauce, steamed rice and Asian greens and a Greek flatbread topped with lamb, tzatziki, tomato, spinach, onion and flat leaf parsley.
And Graham has outdone himself with this new dish; Slow-cooked baby back pork ribs with rainbow slaw, cornbread and BBQ sauce! Oh my! And then there’s our super tasty red lentil, pumpkin and mushroom curry with steamed rice and pappadums.
If you’re after a lighter lunch why not try our fabulous superfood salad with quinoa, green beans, toasted walnuts, broccoli, roasted pumpkin, feta and citrus dressing, or for the more daring, our brand new Asian crispy friend chicken salad with snow pea tendrils, pickled cucumber and carrot with sweet chilli yoghurt dressing? Deeeee-licious!
And don’t leave without trying one of our amazing house-made sausage rolls with Nana Bev’s famous tomato chutney and crunchy fries; our lovely smashed avocado with feta and zatar on sourdough or a tasty ham, cheese and tomato croissant.
We also have our soup of the day and our tried and true range of burgers available – classic beef, southern style chicken and vegetarian.
On weekends and public holidays until 11.30am, we serve up the tastiest breakfasts on the Mornington Peninsula. Our faves are the The Royal Big Breakfast with eggs your way plus bacon, roasted mushrooms, grilled tomato, sauteed spinach and a potato kiftede on sourdough toast and the new breakfast burrito, with smashed avocado, grilled chipolata, sweet corn salsa, scrambled eggs and Nan Bev’s chutney in a tortilla wrap. You can even add bacon if you like!
There’s also plenty more new dishes to choose from including Graham’s brand new breakfast dishes: the Garden of Eden – eggs cooked your way with grilled tomato and roasted mushrooms, sauteed spinach and pesto on sourdough; and the buttermilk breaky chicken burger with lettuce, tomato, beetroot puree, buttermilk chicken and chipotle scrambled eggs on a soft brioche bun! You won’t be hungry after that one!
We also have the old breaky faves – eggs benedict and eggs your way on sourdough toast. You can download the breakfast menu here.
Plus we have plenty of options for the kids too, including fish and chips, sausage rolls and penne pasta.
Come in and sample it for yourself on your next visit to the Royal Botanic Gardens in Cranbourne. Call 5990 2247 to book a table.
