Burrata and heirloom tom salad WEB summer menu boon wurrung cafe stavros cranbourne

The weather is warming up and we’re preparing for the summer crowds the best way we know how – with a fantastic menu offering something for all our guests!

Whether you’re after a healthy salad, hearty home-made sausage roll or one of our delicious scones with jam and cream, we’ve got you covered.

Our incredibly talented Head Chef Stavros and the team have worked hard to produce a menu that reflects the tastes of our customers that also suits the gorgeous, natural surroundings of the Royal Botanic Gardens in Cranbourne.

Exciting new additions to the menu include zucchini, confit tomato and ricotta tart, served with tomato chutney and a side salad; BLAT with bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato in a Turkish roll served with chips; as well as a house-made pie of the day served with crunchy fries and salad.

Stavros has created an exciting range of salads for the health-conscious visitors to the Gardens for regular walks around the beautiful surrounds. These include a Thai beef salad with marinated beef strips, Asian herbs, shredded wombok, carrot, red onion, crispy shallots and Nam Jim dressing, and a Burrata and heirloom tomato salad with toasted bread crumbs, marinated olives, purple basil, aged balsamic and olive oil dressing. Delicious!

Stavros’s super food salad featuring quinoa, green beans, broccoli, roasted pumpkin, marinated feta and citrus dressing remains a staple part of the menu, as does our house-made sausage roll with tomato chutney and crunchy fries which are favourites with our customers.

On weekends and public holidays, we serve up the tastiest breakfasts on the Mornington Peninsula. Our personal fave is the The Royal Garden Big Breakfast with eggs your way plus bacon, roasted mushrooms, grilled tomato, sauteed spinach and a potato kiftede on sourdough toast.

But there’s plenty more to choose from, including eggs benedict and eggs florentine as well as smashed avocado with confit cherry tomatoes on sourdough topped with two poached eggs, marinated feta and bush dukkha or warm coconut rice pudding or granola with honey roasted oats and a mix of nuts, shredded coconut, pomegranate, topped with vanilla Greek yoghurt and berry compote.
